This child perspective story, Mass Destruction, is a hoot as we realize that the heavy thoughts are for cereal ohs. I can imagine a few clinging together in the milk, expecting that the spoon of resue was their salvation. Silly cereal.

Exactly. And no matter how hard I tried, that green ring would not move away from the yellow one. Oh well, they went down together. :-) Thank you for your review.

This is really kinda funny-those poor circles of cereal! I think kids and their ways of thinking are fascinating. I bet there are more than a few who have similar thoughts.

That would sure be great, if someone else shared my strange thinking. Looking back, it was kind of violent the way I pretended to destroy the Froot Loops. Ha ha thank you so much for your review and comments. Hugs.

This child sure was an imaginative one, but it's a totally believable way for a child to behave and live. I always had problems with words, through reading novels intended for adults from about age 8 on, and invented meanings for them as I hadn't yet worked out the joys of a dictionary. Even now, I sometimes invent new words, but I'm improving.

Well, how do words get invented? People invent them, right? Don't stop making up words. :-) Thank you so much for your review. I was a strange child.

Your story reveals your creative imagination even as a young child! It is interesting, and maintains the sense of drama right until the last words. very well written. Good wishes for the contest.

well, I'll say one thing- you and this story are true originals!
How's that for judgement?
You really had me fooled, so... good story teller, good plotter and good, very different finale.
well done.

This is pretty funny. I had no inkling that your story would end the way it did. It was a total surprise and I sat here laughing. Very good job!

Ah! the imagination of the child and his trusty spoon and a bowl of cereal. I would never have guessed where the story was taking me until the very end. Good luck in the contest. Smiles, Carol

This story was cute. An amazing picture of what it is like to love a cereal and where it comes from and travels to. I felt I was telling a child the words you wrote. That would help a child to like eating cereal. It was cute I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

Your contest entry is well told and is unique in theme. Your words are descriptive and create great imagery of what was happening in that cereal bowl. I like that you did not mention the actual aspect--the cereal, the spoon etc. Best wishes.
Thank you for sharing.
Respectfully, Jan
