Did you mean bettor or better in the beginning? Okay, so we are having a bad day here, but I am glad that you finally realized that to go back and live your life over again you might do the same thing again. Can I ask, are you speaking from a monkey point of view or a person's?

Great and way too funny.
Should the last line be slim to none?
Just a thought, but regardless, this is a six star for me. You are a mad genius, Sir!

Genius, maybe at 129. Mad like Einstein? I'd fall short. But Charlie Sheen's a possibility. Thanks for the read and ... praise?

Slim to none? Sure. Why not?

You?re one of my favorites??

Excellent entry for the Why can't you see it? writing prompt contest.
I'm bipolar and with medication and a good doctor I can live a normal life.
There are so many people with mental disorder in America and most think mental diseases are not real.
The story grabbed my interest. The dialogue is believable.

Aren't you nice to drop by, peruse and give an analysis. Save me spending dollars for a psychiatrist visit this week. :-O j.k. - Tom H

The human mind is a delicate thing. And there are so many different diagnoses and variations of disorders that affect a large part of the population. Thanks for sharing.

That may be true, but do I deserve having more than the average share of diagnosis?

Sadly, nothing is fair in life. But guys like you I have learned to cope or at least fool the world into thinking we have. :-)

Humour intertwined with contemplation. Very clever. I believe that everything happens for a reason that leads us to where we are right now, in this very moment. That is my faith/spirituality. I mean, one has to believe in something? Don't they?
I've missed reading your thoughts these past few days. Keep up the writing Tom. J

You debate some points. Being me is difficult enough without being someone else.
I think I've known some psychotics and some psychopaths.
Schizophrenia I'll have to look into.
In jest I would say this work might make the reader become temporarily unbalanced. :-))Z.

Love the picture you've chosen - really in some deep thought here, trying to decide would I if I could!
The rambling, directionless nature of this narrator gives the reader the feeling that they are inside a flawed mind. A busy mind - always asking questions that are perhaps impossible to answer.
A good submission for this contest. I wish you luck.
In your last paragraph, I would make it "a snowball's chance in Hades". Add the apostrophe and capitalize Hades.
Take care,
Pam

Thanks, and I will take both suggestions, and you'll be nominated for reviewer of the month. Thanks.

Hello Tom. Great job on this piece that answers the prompt perfectly and with aplomb. I understood your premise and agree that I wouldn't go back in time either... let the past stay there. Great job on this and good luck!

I don't think the originator agrees that I met the prompt's requirements. I can see how as she did ask for drugs taking and examples, but I'm close. I was going to release it on its own when I thought this might fit. We'll see. I've been dq'd previously. Thank you.

This kind of thinking seems pertty normal to me. I too have wondering if I could go back and do it over if I would. Maybe I'm not as rational as you because I'd do it all over in a heartbeat, even if I had to do it all the same way. Does that make me Schizophrenia? Maybe, or maybe it means I think I had a pretty good life.

I think the schiz is battling do we or not go back and the questioner never gets an answer. I did. Thanks for the visit.
