"cells phones" should be cell phones.

Cloud watching can be a relaxing activity.

If Jillian came to Cedarville to look after grandma, seems she did not want much to do with her. She never even visited her in hospice.

Can not blame Seth for running away from Jillian as fast, and as far, as he possibly could.

I like how Emma and Seth are sharing ordinary yet tender moments as they wait to hear how Molly is doing and they as they tend to her. They bring out the best in each other.

No problem. I had some family issues and was away for a few weeks so I have to catch up on the story.

I personally like the bigger ones. You write these so well. I look forward to getting your writings in my box. It's original old style true loving romance. We get a bit of mystery, small town flavor, even a dab of religion. No politics thank the lord. :-) Karen

An excellent chapter. I still look at clouds, too. The story flows well and the dialogue is good. A connection is developing between Emma and Seth. She is getting more comfortable with her feelings and expressing them.

I'm sure it was hard getting the call from Dr. Mason. It tugs at your heart when they aren't well, but it was good news that Molly could go home.

It was good to see Seth be more open with Emma and tell her the story of what happened with Jillian. She sounded like a very controlling person. A good thing Seth left and went back where he felt comfortable and could be himself.

Well done!

I still look at clouds too. Things are ironing themselves out between Seth and Emma. Still some uncomfortable moments. Thank you for the kind review.

I love the way you bring the romance between the two dogs.Ace is so devoted to Molly that he does not want to leave her .Like Seth who wants to be with Emma all the time..
Seth's story is out and it explains his attitude.

I am waiting for Seth to come out and express the obvious - that he loves Emma. It's good to get the background about his hurtful relationship with Jillian. Now both Seth and Emma know each other's hurts but it's clear they are ready for a relationship.

As I read this, I wished I had read previous chapters. Your dialogue is very natural and flows well. You manage to show/tell emotions without hitting the reader over the head with them. It is clear that the characters care about each other and take care of each other. There is foreshadowing of things to come. All of these things are the marks of a good writer, I think.
Good job.

Another great chapter! I like the element that the dogs bring to the story. It is a telling sign. In my experience, people who treat animals bad are always bad. Animals almost always raise the mental state of people.

Great story!

Thank you for the kind review. All my novel, except my first one has at least one dog in it. I'm thinking about rewriting my first and adding a dog. LOL

Hello, Barbara,

This chapter is captivating. Emma is tearing down the walls. Seth is showing his soft side. It's fun to watch them getting closer.

Jillian sounds like a terrible person. What an opposite to Emma. Now I understand why Seth was reserved. Emma was too. It seems like both had bad relationships.

Well done!

Thank you for the kind review. I think Emma is just afraid to love for fear of getting hurt. We'll find out.
