Emma will be grieving for awhile now, when one loses the closest person in their life suddenly that is a tragic occurrence in their lives, at least Seth is filling that void to a degree, girls need the dads, like my girls need mine, but perhaps they are more aware when access is gone, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Thank you for the kind review. I was a daddy's girl. I do understand. I miss Dad so much. He died about 9 years ago.

Sounds like a new mystery is unveiling and I wonder how those teenagers will affect Seth's time with Emma. I guess Emma's way of grieving is by not eating as so much to do with eating brings memories of her dad, who ran the bakery and restaurant.
Suggestions :
outback and eat it (out back)
really a fur ball anymore (furball)

I'm glad that the ending is not yet. I want these two to finally marry. Emma is so gentle and in return, Seth is gentle to her. He sure does not want to hurt her feelings. A wonderful way to treat each other even in a marriage.

Very nice image and chapter to go with it. It is a good follow up to what had happened with Keith in the last chapter. It is a good group of people who care about each other and lend their support when needed. You did a good job with the video scene, as well as Seth trying to get Emma to eat something. No matter what goes on personally, a policeman's job doesn't go away. It was surprising that a couple teenage girls would go into the house where the boys were, and Emma asks a good question about it.

Thank it's back to their own lives with the dogs enjoying the ice cream and Emma and Seth sharing some time together. It will be difficult for everyone the following day so it's good they had time to spend with each other to keep their minds off of what lies ahead. Well done.

Another fine development in the growing relationship. Most enjoyable. I saw no issues.

I am still kicking around the idea to join the novel in a month contest. Won't be able to promote 30 days straight but it is a committee decision anyways. Do you think it is too much to write? a 1,000 words a day for 30 days?
D

(The five was an accident but it wont let me upgrade to six? That sucks. Sorry, this was a six all day long. I owe you one, on top of the million thank yous I already owe you. Douglas)

OMG! That is what happens when I work a 14 hour overnight. Still wonâ??t let me six it.

LOL I am laughing because you said you wanted to give me a six but made a mistake and how I have three stars. I am guessing that's a mistake too. If you have the time, go for the novel in a month. You're a good writing and do a great job with action and characters. I know I couldn't do it. It takes me too much time to edit.

It is good that Emma and Susan have so much support during their time of need. I hope Emma gets an appetite soon. Seth is especially kind and helpful. The dogs also seem to know that their support is needed.
The dialogue and actions of the characters are believable.

It's really nice to see the tenderness in Emma and Seth's relationship, especially after her father's death. I liked the scene showing her mother looking through old photos of Emma and Seth's remarks about them as well. Another enjoyable chapter Barbara.

I don't see any errors.

The chapter is sweet because I can tell Emma is loved and pampered through her tragic grief of loosing her dad.

Well done

Seth is comforting Emma, Emma is coming to closure over losing her dad, and they both try to support each other through the ups and downs of their lives. He seems a bit distracted by these kids drinking themselves into a stupor. There is a bit of mystery surrounding this; you seem to leave the door open for this to become a bit more involved. So the suspense is there over this. estory
