The story is coming to a conclusion nicely .Emma whispered.I love you'. and Seth also is more sure of her . The story of Jax is touching . I liked Seth disposing of various cases expertly...waiting for the next chapters..

All the loose ends are tidying up nicely now, it doesn't look as though it will be too much of a rush to fit them all in. I'm especially glad marriage is being mentioned. kay
potential SPAG:
The classmates these girls discovered > The classmates they discovered

It's nice to tie up a few loose ends. I was wondering what became of Peggy so it was good to see you bring her back in this chapter. Hazing? That's not good. I hope the boys are alright and those who did the hazing are held accountable. It's nice to see that Seth and Emma are making plans and have another dog adopted into the family.

Hi Barbara.
There is a lot packed into this chapter. I like how Seth brought in those involved in criminal and non-criminal proceedings and had a sit-down with each. I had no issues with Barton or Calhoun. When Seth said he was going to read the girls the Miranda rights, I would've expected some reflex or challenge from the parents. To me it didn't seem real.
Other then that, I felt the chapter moved consistent with the previous chapters.
Looking forward to see how everything settles, especially Seth & Emma.

This is an excellent chapter that covers a number of different characters and issues. My favorite part is the one when Emma is asked about giving Jax a forever home. Animals have such a strong bond with their owners, and he will have a wonderful home with Emma and Molly. It was sad that the policeman had been killed in line of duty.
The other really good part was the ending. It was tender and heartwarming in several different ways.
You give us more information involving these girls and claims of hazing taking place, as well as the continued deceit of Calhoun and how Peggy Barton was involved with that, as well.
You are doing a great job with the story.

It seems strange that they really haven't known each other all that long. I think that Emma and Seth need to get married or something will happen anyway. Don't you? Good writing. Karen

An interesting episode, a sort of a mixed, with Emma becoming aquainted with an an adoptee German shepherd, Jax, I'm sure he will be more than welcome, to be a brother dog for Molly, who only weighs half as much as our Moodle, and he's small, well done Barbara, blessings Roy

It's good that Seth remembered that Emma wanted a German Shepherd like Ace. So now she has Jax. I would think it would be hard to sleep with three dogs in the room. Lol. Anyway, despite Seth's busy day with all the interviewing, and setting things right, he has just the right things to say and do for Emma. It will help her grieving to help Jax through his grieving.

There's a lot of action in this chapter and I don't think I remember Seth being quite so active in his job for a while:) He certainly tried to scare Ronnie and Peggy off with threats that seemed a wee bit tenuous. But if they work, that's great. I can see how your excellent story is motoring now towards completion and I look forward to a happy conclusion of some kind between Seth and Emma. Thanks for sharing, Barbara. Debbie

Hello Barbara,
there are so many characters involved that I've lost track of what all is going on. I'm glad you posted the list of characters. Frankly, I think it's kind of brazen for Seth to be going into Emma's bedroom, even if he doesn't intend to do anything. I fear the temptation would be so great, that it would be hard to stop if something got started. Given the fact that Emma is still trying to get over her father's death, I would worry that she might be confusing her need for comfort with genuine love. That's just my take. Thanks for sharing this gal.
Have a blessed day.
