This is an enigma! Your story is captivating and I anxiously read ahead to see what happened. True story and so -- did you ever find out how it was possible for such a thing to happen?
Why would they have the entrance open if there was no exit?
Oh my.
This must have been a miracle!

Karen,
Thank you for your review. You surely are astute in noting inconsistencies in my writing. In the case of the cave in which I found myself stuck, I entered through a gap that allowed me to gain access. When my flashlight failed halfway into the cave I had to figure out how to exit in complete darkness until I entered the small chamber where a a faint glimmer of light from above entered the cave.
All the best,
Eugene

Please do not think I meant to be critical! I was curious!

This is an amazing story. Twenty-four hours in a cave, is no wonder you were crying. I can't imagine why it would have be sealed in such a way you couldn't enter it.

A well written, short story, and I enjoyed reading it. It flows very well when it is read aloud. May you have a very blessed week and may God bless you. Patricia .
