I love the smell of rain, right before and after, and also freshly cut grass. This is quite a zenful piece you have crafted, Gypsy. This took me to my happy place.
God bless,
Steve

After a soothing gentle rain, it does seem that the air, the flowers, and all around us has been cleansed. Thank you for not only sharing this poem but this presentation with us.

love the touch of rhyme flowing smoothly through this
"jump into the river of life and breathe in the scent" is my fave line - say so much with more between the words
a great gogyohka poem with cool lotus pics
thank you for sharing!

What a lovely, inspiring verse, filling the senses with life-giving elements and leaving a palpable sensation of refreshment and renewal. Well done, Gypsy. Take care Debbie

I loved this Gypsy. I could use up all my sixes on you!
I love the opening line and of course the rest.
You have me actually smelling the flowers and soil after the rain.
Beautifully done.

I remember one poet who is not here anymore loved the word "petrichor" which means the "smell of the dry earth after a rain." I like the way you gathered up the sun, the river, and ended up with this scent.

Thank you very much, big sister. I heard that word before but I don't like the sound.
Love 😊

Beautiful imagery in this write, Marival. I absolutely love the opening line. It leaps off the page and draws the reader into the poem. There are some people who naturally radiate light. A very attractive quality although a bit too overpowering for some.
Excellent work as always
Blessings, Cheryl

So well expressed. This verse explored a great response to the prompt, using apt vocabulary and imagery for the interconnections of the soul. Overall, worked well for this reader.

I believe that we are all connected to nature because we make up part of it. Your poem has very nice theme and is beautifully illustrated. Is that the lotus flower? I know that it has great significance in Buddhist culture.

Yes, it's a lotus flower of enlightenment and rebirth. It's a popular concept in Japanese poetry.
Thank you very much, RJ
