This will definitely dry the reader in is a mystery now. "Garth's expression hardened. "You need to tell her."

Jenna's eyes widened. Her gaze darted between Eleanor and Garth. Panic flashed across her face.

"Tell me what?" Eleanor's voice took on a sharp edge. She immediately turned toward her daughter. "Do you know something about why someone was shooting at us?" Worry was etched deep in her features. "Is it Doyle? Is that why you and the boys are here?"

"It's not about the gunshot." Garth's gaze shifted back from Eleanor to Jenna. "Tell her, Jenna." His instincts wanted both women tucked safely away, but the priority, for the moment, was Jenna coming clean. Eleanor would be the support she needed, but first, she had to tell her." more mystery:"
Two men, one in each car, had gotten out. Together, they'd carried something big and bulky to the ravine and dumped it. With all the tall weeds, she couldn't see what it was. This is well written and it has great mystery to it.

Donatelli is going to need all the help Miriam canoffer it seems. These are great characters, Carol and I love that some are from the spirit world here to help the living. Well done,
Valda

Two scenes of rich drama here: firstly the confession to Eleanor which goes down like a lead balloon and then the story about another ghost Miriam and the horrendous attempted murder she's just witnessed. Fortunately, she's able to rescue him and bring him back home to recover. The fact that he's wearing a badge and given the earlier assault might well suggest that this is Donatelli. You love to hit the ground running each chapter, Carol! Well done on another great chapter! Debbie

Thanks so much Debbie. Things are piling up as I try to write this book and deal with some unexpected circumstances but that's life, right? I appreciate your thoughts and for taking the time to enjoy my story.

I could really feel the emotion pouring out of Jenna as she told her mother the news about her pregnancy. It was clear to see just how difficult this was for her. Another excellent chapter, Carol, I really enjoyed it.

Forgive me for being so far behind in telling you how much I appreciate your time and support in my writing. Life has handed me another one of those "circumstances I didn't expect" and I am falling behind. Nothing new, right? Just know that your thoughts on my writing mean a lot to me. Thank you.

Forgive my cut and paste... I promise to do better!

There's a lot happening in this story, you juggle murder and intrigue, the observation of the disposal of bodies, and finding someone still alive. I thought the sense of mystery and suspense building in it, and the dialogue was sharp when it had to be. estory

Finally! Jenna has to tell Eleanor but she waited too long and missed telling Donatelli who got into serious scrapes. It's not like Eleanor to be so quick to judge Garth and Jenna that way and leave without getting the full story.

I like your new character, Miriam and her mule. They are a good Red Cross team. Hope they can help Donatelli!

Eleanor is very upset to learn Jenna has been assaulted and it pregnant from the assault. Miranda is an interesting character, another ghost with a good heart who brings home a wounded man who may have been a murderer. One word problem: . . . move on with their (lives). Two interesting pivotal scenes that add richness to the story.

Carol,

Another great chapter of your story. You are brilliant. I know you won't answer this question, but who is Miriam. I'm guessing she has Donatello.
You always leave me wanting more. You are such a great author.

Great job

Cecilia

So this is Donatelli, beaten up and left for dead, but fortunately found by Miriam. These ghosts are certainly doing a lot of good work, yet I was surprised at Eleanor's reaction to the news of her daughter's pregnancy, wwhen her daughter had been a victim of rape. Or is the baby Donatelli's? I am sure you'll keep us guessing.Well done.
