I can relate to his poem it is very poignant, and brings back memories of the one I lost. I still miss him. The poem would have a happy ending. Life goes on. He is gone but he is alive in memories.

Excellent turn at the end and a fine refrain that expresses emotion quite well. Good use of the abab rhyme scheme with a switch at the end to emphasis the summary nature of the last stanza.

You've certainly penned a heart wrenching verse here and although it's left me feeling sad, it's also kinda uplifting. I think it's your last line that does that, like the writer knows it is time to move on. And of course, God is on her side.

that is true,,that is what I am here for..it matters not what it pays..I am just inspiured by so many great writers and even inspired more by those who try really hard but it is not their best forte. I admire them for their heart and courage..

This is a very emotional poem, I hand lingering tears while reading this, for I lost my son two years ago.
Loss is not easy to cope with but we push through every day hoping the next will be just a touch easier.
A lovely poem.
