Dark! I love it! A chill down the spine AS I was with her in her nightmare. Wonderfully scary and well written. Thank you for sharing!

Hey you were there? Amazing eh?

Excellent. We all have demons that can rise with the slightest inkling for we're more fragile than we appear. Yes. I ward mine off by getting out of my head.

That's really good Arte. Getting out of your head eh? Heheh sounds ominous.

Yep. Of course, I'm kicking and screaming the whole time ;)

This would have been a great Halloween poem, I think. It tells a scary tale most of us can relate to. We've all be a little frightened on a spooky night. I enjoyed the chilling imagery.

What an engaging poem - not the restful kind of engaging - but it sure holds on to you. sometimes demons do crowd into our lives - and getting rid of them is hard - even when we know the best songs to molify them. I liked your poem it makes one mindful of the netherworld and what lurks there for each of us. Rose.

A really engaging piece that just draws you through the stanzas. Demons come in all forms and for all reasons, I've smacked mine down and rest easy from them, my own thoughts do enough damage! LOL ;-) Good work, Gungalo!

Aw, you poor thing. I hope you don't have to sleep alone tonight!
"Faded crinkled wallpaper,
brown with age and family dirt,
stared back at her through patches
that seemed alive and reaching."
Love this verse, and the image it brings to my mind.

Oh, baby..this was a creeper. I thought it was magnificent. I'd give you a six, but would like to save it for something recently posted. I just read Dawn's Power of Suggestion, so had to go read this. It's just superb..every word! :)

A fascinating tale of loneliness interestingly
portrayed starting with your wonderful
choice of art work, which then your words
paint this artistic picture of depression
in the shadowy world of demons that
take over the mind.
Well done
