Wow, what a story! You captured my attention from the beginning. That was an incredible responsibility imposed on a six year old. I was touched by your phrases 'my childhood got left behind' and 'those roles are in danger of being reversed'

Well, goodness. This is quite a powerful poem. Structurally, it flowed well flowing a free verse format. As the reader, I felt I was there with you. Amazing. Good luck in the contest.
