Being outside you get a chance to see how wildlife or animals
make it through. I once watch an ant struggle with a piece of, let's say bread, clear across a porch until he got to where he wanted to go. I even timed him. I forgot how long it took.
Your pantoum is nice to read about the outdoors.
Congratulations on all of your wins.

Thanks very much for your review, Artura. Greatly appreciated. It?s a while since I?ve written a Pantoum. Must give it another go sometime.

tfawcus, this pantoum is well crafted with uncommon word combinations that hold the interest and suspense of the reader from the beginning onward. The owl is beautiful and so stealth for what looks to be a sorrily built for aerodynamic flight, but so do bumblebees! Well done! :0 GracieAnn

I absolutely love the structure and rhythm of the pantoum, although I have not yet attempted one myself, so I am not an expert re: the poetry form. I do, however, know what I like, and I love your poem. The artwork is incredible, and the meter is perfect. :) Sandra

This is a wonderful 'pantoum' - I know this form is a favorite of Adewpearl. To me the form has a circular motion which gives a special musicality to the poem. The Boobook owl - I'm fascinated. Australia has so many unusual wildlife; I pet a baby wombat, a dingo, kangaroos ;) and I saw a new born platypus - ;) Your smallest owl - I've fallen in love with this feathered creature:
"A wraith with staring hooded eye"
Thank you for this poem - no six to give - Must be Sunday that they are once again available!

strong abab rhyming
You follow the repeating pattern of the pantoum perfectly
lovely alliteration in phrases like silver silhouette and ghost gum
beautiful descriptive detail
excellent use of enjambment to keep your thoughts flowing from line to line
You create mood powerfully
This so deserves a six rating which I just do not have at week's end. Brooke :-)

This is a well crafted, refined quality pantoum friend, they can be very challenging to write and difficult to put together. You have a little gem here, very impressive indeed, loved it!

This poem really chatacterized this type of owl perfectly.
I could easily envison it as if I were there waiting for the owl to feast.
You took me briefly into the wild.
Loved it.
Thank you.

If I had a 6 left this week, I would give you 7. It's unbelievable to me how you let the reader "see" and feel the reality of this animal, yet stayed within the guidelines of this form. Clearly, you are an accomplished poet. You have said so much, using so few words. Job well done.

Lovely form, Tony. You advance the idea, using the repetitions well. You chose an interesting subject. "The Boobook owl kills silently." Interesting creature, makes for good poetry. I enjoyed the read.
