His clock worked not
And her wait turned hot,
But
He just forgot
Their wedding.
A short account of the inconsideration of the groom to be in 15 words.Well done

Lol... Men! There's no living with them! What an enjoyable short poem, summing up in so few words, just how inconsiderate men can be.... ;-) Although it has to be said.. it's USUALLY the female who chooses to turn up late for the wedding.

How heartbreaking! I love this short poem you have written. the strong rhye you set up in the first part with the strong emphasis on the last syllable is beautifully set off by the the trochaic foot in the last line. It sets off the heartbreak beautifully. Loved the alliteration of clock, not, hot, forgot - especially since one of those rhymes was internal. Also - the alliteration of wait and wedding.
This is a terrific write! Hope you win.

This is a cute, touching little poem. It manages to tell a whole story in just a few words. To the forgotten bride---after that excuse, she should stop his clock!

Beautifully written.
I love this piece.
What a fine way to write about such matters on men forgetting their wedding, and leaves their wife to be waiting at the altar.
Good luck

One watch stopping is not going to let the late groom off the hook. Most homes have clocks in every room. Marriage is very important. Near death is the only excuse for being late. Great work. Good luck with the contest.

This is a wonderful poem. You told a great story. The word choice is quite vivid. My sweetie forgot to fix the time on his "wedding" watch. He freaked out because he thought he lost an hour. But wedding would have started on time if not for a few guests being late.

Well done. There is a subtle humor to your words and the rhyming is well done,The way you have presented this adds to the meaning of your words. Good job

Very humorous and quite clever. This poor gut had better get himself a good clock before he gets in MORE trouble. If they ever marry, he will no doubt forget their anniversary, and then what ?

This is an amusing poem, but only to a bride NOT left waiting at the altar. Good use of rhymes--not, hot, and forgot.
Well done in only 15 words.
