You may have been away for a while, Mary, but you haven't lost your touch. This was quite entertaining, and very well written! You are one brave gal, but maybe you need to pay more attention to what Bruni tells you? Our inner voice is there for a reason, ya know! :)
I could very easily picture the whole event unfolding. You draw a clear picture for your reader. I love it all, but what particularly stood out for this reader was:
- peddle to the metal ... petal to the mental adventure (good play on words)
- "Like Bruni, he too was a blurter of the worst degree" ... love made-up words ...
"blurter". :)
- "I felt like a preschooler who is kept in close proximity to the teacher to keep him from weeping and upsetting the entire class" ... I love the image that this creates. It also endears your reader to you, hoping that you somehow will survive this scary adventure intact.

Hi Marvin, thank you for your great review. I'm afraid I'm back but on limited time as I'm caring for my two newborn grand babies as their moms returned to full time work. I steal away when I can, but it is goin be a challenge putting in reviewing and writing time.

Hi Teresa! Yes it has been a minute or two ... we moved in May, and coupled with the arrival of two new grandbabies, I suspect my muse was packed away in one of the boxes in the garage. I didn't realize how much I missed FanStory until becoming active again. Loved your review, and your kind words. I'm working on the finale now, between diaper changes and baby napping :D

HAHAHaHA, I suspected my muse was packed away in one of the boxes in the garage after being off the site for so many months so reading your review did the trick.
