Nicely done poem which met the criterion well of writing without the "first letter." It reads a little like a kyrielle poem with the final line repeating. Glad we can have that first letter especially for grades in school!

What a great contest entry, 'without the first letter'. I love that repeating line. I really like your 2nd stanza. Perfect title 'without the first letter'.
Very best wishes in the contest.

A very well-wreitten short poem to illustrate what life would be without the first letter of the alphabet who has already two 'a's in that one word. You made it through without it this time.

This is a difficult prompt to follow, but you managed it well and gave us a bit of philosophy at the same time. Something IS lost without the first letter.
Good luck in the contest.

You did a good job in crafting this verse without the letter, "a". Your entry for this fun prompt is spot on and you achieved your goal here. Well done and good luck.

Oh, good job with this wonderful piece. Where would we be without the letter "A?" Best of luck in the contest with this super entry. Crossing my fingers. Marilyn

You are so very right about the first letter of the alphabet not being in use in this particular poetic format. I think you have done a very good job following the rules in the prompt and not using the letter A. I wish you luck in the contest.

I read the story several time wondering about what the first letter was? Then "Duhhhh...." I looked into the contest rules and saw that you had to write a story without the letter "A". Very clever of you.

Life with the letter 'A' appears terrible, full of misery, you think nothing is right, simplicity is lost, words just form without common sense to justify life, a peculiar state; well said, well done. Liked and enjoyed the read. Write-Inspire --DR ALCREATOR

Hey, this piece of flash fiction is a nice take on the contest's remit. I think it should do well in the competition because it is addressing the issues of writing without using the letter "A" directly.
Well done, and good luck :)
