I started going to boarding school at a tender age (6 1/2)..I passed school holidays mainly with my grandparents but once in awhile I actually slept home with my parents ..we had a huge two storey house and i was so glad to have this huge bunny ( it was taller than me) to protect me .. my parents were upstairs and I was downstairs ..i got through howling winds and thunderstorms .. I loved that bunny protector.
PS: thank God it was a good/loving bunny not like the scary one Donnie Darko had visiting. ( biggrin )

Great poem for the contest! For you as a child, that stuffed tiger was just as good (dare I say, better!) than a real one. I've heard of paper tigers, which don't work, but a stuffed one apparently kicked tail! It's a very sweet yet powerful expression of childlike trust.
