This is beautifully written, sad but not desperate. Thinking back on a life and realizing things done and not done, hoping for the best, but it's too late for change.
Very nice,
Connie

BEAUTIFUL poem! I specially liked the way you have examined every aspect of life, so many questions we all ask ourselves, but the questions asked in this poem were so profound...
Wonderful job!

deepwater, quite a thought provoking poem. We shall always have unanswered questions in this life, until the last moment. What do we really know? You see, you made me start thinking and it is already past 11 pm on my side of the world.
Well written, enjoyable to read and wonder.

Hullo Deepwater ....
In this free-thought writing, you have surely expressed the sort of thoughts that pass through the minds of older people as they feel that it will soon be time to
end their lives on this earth.
There is just one small change to suggest ...
* You have - As I lay at rest ... this should be -
As I lie at rest ....
Thank you for sharing these thoughts with us.
With love from ..... Nanette Mary.

A very poignant reflection on a life well spent. Many questions remain as you are about to cross over... did you do all that was expected of you or do you have any regrets. Very well written my friend... cheers, Jack

I think this is just beautiful, and it expresses the thoughts that so many have as they come to the end of their lives. As long as there's some glory, then it was a life well lived. I heard a quote before saying "if you live to be 80 and can look back and say you've had 10 cumulative good years, it was a good life". Nice job with this!

Your going to have to have a huge gravestone to carve this epitaph on. You are getting better and better in your poetry writing.
Thank You My Friend,
