This is a thought provoking poem which is well written and has a smooth flow. It's raises questions that I guess we will all be thinking about at some point in our lives. My mother is in the twilight of her years and her favourite saying is, 'I don't know what the world is coming to, I feel really sorry for the young people these days'.

Your free verse poetry depicts the plight of the recently retired along with those that are worried about the plight of social security. It is SO sad that the people that made this nation great are paying the highest price for the demise of our infrastructure. The Baby Boomer generation gave and contributed to all of the systems in place, but they will be depleted before their time. It is very sad. ~patty~

This generation is YOURS - I really like this reflective poem - do the young give the old a second glance I wonder these days. Generations tend to live apart in our culture which is such a shame when they could learn so much of interesting past history. It's the current generations duty to tend for the next generations world. Very thought provoking piece. Jennieclare
