Great poem on the understanding of the prices to paid of being a soldier. A little confused with the way the punctuation is used.

First of all I could never be a soldier. It takes courage and strength and bravery that I just don't have. But then again there may be that soldier that would look at me and say the same thing about some of the things that I've went through and overcame. I think we are all soldier in our lives though. We all, at some point, have to fight for something we believe in or want to change. And I think in the end we all wonder if our kids will make the same mistakes as us or if they will learn from us by what we've done.

This prose poem is heartfelt and imaginative in telling the story from the dead soldier's point of view.
Will they only rest in peace when the peace they fought for becomes lasting and we learn or lessons from history
I don't think resolute form of the word for that stanza.
Should there be a 'we' between will and live in the second to last stanza?

There is some sentences without punctuation, and run-on sentences. I like the message. It is inspiring, and a very good read. Great job!

A beautiful tribute to our veterans. I had chill bumps on my arms as I read your words. The words truly came from the heart and I thank you for putting them down for all to read. cherry_

Hello, Deepwater. This is an excellent poem and so well written. It is a very appropriate submission for this Memorial Day time of year. You should do very well with this submission. I honor all those who have served their nation and paid the ultimate price in doing so. Keep up the great writing...Gideon

This is very well written free poem, with a smooth flow of words. How true and reflective all these wonderfully written words seem to be. The writing itself was moving and well done.
Have a nice day!

will live on in the hearts and actions of men who remember the injustice from their past
or will fall victim to events we ignored.
As a Viet Nam Vet, I salute you, sir, for hitting the mark so few see, or even know exists these days.
