This is quite a beautiful description of a new love. It is dense with vivid descriptions of touch, sight, and sound. I was confused about that gold ring though. It doesn't seem to quite fit the story. However, the description of the story itself is quite lovely.. good luck with the contest! Caroline

Steamy and sweet. How did you pull that off? Excellent descriptions to create the imagery and the mood for that special night. My favorite line
This intimacy of night's first love, so pure with no ambition,
Good luck in the contest.

Eloquent wording to convey a poetic proclamation of pure love and devotion. A night to remember, one would surmise.

A beautifully written poem, written in wonderfully expressed and descriptively fine language! This would rank with most poems, written in the best tradition of love poems! I guess the wedding night would the most written about love poetry of all! Well done, blessings, Roy.

This is a very detailed and descriptive poem
It is also very sensual, I think that's the word I am looking for.
It's a great entry for the free verse poetry contest. Good luck and great job.
And the image is perfect
