What a marvelous poem. It is so gently written that it made me think of a peaceful flight within the sky's limits. The eagle is soaring above the clouds trying to find the clear blue sky.

This is a fine piece of poetry, and I enjoyed the vivid and powerful thoughts you expressed very well in fine rhyme and metre. Beautiful in its smoothness, with a stunning image to prompt your words.

Beautiful words my brother. You really do write masterfully, I could feel the faith borne words that seemed to soar like a majestic bird, I was deeply moved. I have become aware of a growth in your writing since I have been reading your work. It is my belief that you are at the stage of master right here, right now. Congratulations.

Onward walks the man searching for what was lost, Roy. We are all weak, but we will not break, for God is with us. I marched through your poem like a soldier of the Almighty. Thank you for sharing this with me. it gives me strength.

Only a fool would dare suggest this is your best ever Mr. Owen's, but this really grabbed me. The message, like most of your works offers praise to the Lord, but the flow of this one really rattled bells in my mind. It was so rhythmical. And if it's not the best, it must certainly rate very close to the top. Really, in my eyes it deserved ten stars.

Oh, Roy! I have a new favorite among the poems you've scribed, and this jewel is it! But I confess -- I am disappointed. You have yet to publish a book of your poetry! You must!!!!

I think God is truly with you as you write, Roy. This is remarkable, as you so often are. Prolific, profound, and professionally presented, I am in awe of your work. Thanks for posting this.

beautiful, Roy. Your work always lingers in my thoughts well after I read it. I look forward to that as much as reading and reveling in your poems. Super enjoyable! Best, JohnC

Hi Roy, I'm finding it hard right now not to cry, as I'm sitting here with my father close by, and you're making me think of my last night with my mother. She passed when she was almost 92, hadn't heard well without hearing aids in years, and hadn't seen anything more than shapes and shadows for 6-8 months. On that Saturday night, (she passed on Monday morning) she woke up a bit after midnight, and she could see clearly, she could hear just fine. No help needed. It was a true gift to have that kind of time with her, for those last hours that night. Then her family and friends all arrived... no, not the ones that were alive, all those who had gone before. Her parents, brother, sisters, friends, some names I had heard, others I had no idea who they were, but she did, and was so happy to see them all! If ever anyone needed affirmation of an afterlife, I got one that night. Have a special day, Susan :)

When I dwell on the negative, feeling weak and anxious, I begin to pray for the peace an guidance only HE can give my.
Your poem is excellent in every respect--message, rhyme and meter (great,) and wording.
