I'm going to have to re-evaluate my ranking process. I'm giving you too many sixes. LOL. You are the real deal, Wendy. That's quite the picture. You should win this contest. I was thinking of entering, but not now.

Please enter. Impossible to tell what the judges may prefer. Your entry will be equally good. Thank you for the six! No, please don?t change your rating processes - they?re just fine as they are. Lol. And they?re always valued by the recipient.
Thanks again.

I have never thought of life as pointless because we die at the end of it, and I never gave much thought to Heaven as hopefully it is a long way off. I concentrate on making every waking day as happy as I can make it, always being productive whilst I have the chance at life. Too many people die before their time without having the chance to make their mark.
I doubt we will ever have justice for the wrongs in history and they are slowly mounting over time and it is always best to forgive the past and move forward. History will keep repeating itself because human behaviour never changes.
This is a melancholy write Wendy and we must dwell too much on death whilst we have life as it is too precious and we cannot be sure of an afterlife either.
Good luck with the contest, love Dolly x x x

Thank you for your very thoughtful review, Dolly. I agree with you about living well in the present too because each day is a precious gift. But I think even the best things about life now are just a foretaste of what will be. Thanks too for your good wishes. Always appreciated.

Two of your strengths are displayed here - your ability to write good flash and your unshakeable faith. This is a statement of what He has done for you and how His promises help you to live a richer life. Your faith is like adding color to a good black-and-white movie - much better.
Good luck with this contest. I believe you will do well.

Christ has been my vicar since my birth caring for me as a parish riest, but better than any I ever met. Whooping cough, scarlet fever before the age of two, numerous stupid acts where I came out unscathed. I wonder why he keeps me around. I must have work He thnks I can do.

Ask Him what He wants you to do. He cares for each one of us and I believe has a plan for us. Thank you for reviewing.

Excellent, your poem reflects my own heart, and reminds the reader of His love. Before we are born we don't know life. Knowing God makes living and dying easier, your poem reminds us of this.

Wonderful testimony. Good writing, too.
You have nailed Christianity. I don't understand why anyone would settle for less. You have my very best wishes.

Yes, likewise impossible to understand why they choose not to believe. It takes more faith to reject all the evidences of God's presence and working in our world. Some just put their heads in the sand and don't want to see. Thaank you so much for this thoughtful and encouraging review.

Comment from Paul Manton
Hard to review this Wendy, when I simply agree with every word of it.
It is a comprehensive account of what the Christian life should be like.
You begin very logically with the futility of life without Christ: meaningless, aimless, valueless - and then tell us the radical difference in coming to belief. You have a Savior, you have a family - not the serendipity of normal family life, but a family 'whose Commonwealth is in Heaven' (Phil.) These are the people who will be your friends forever.
Then you tell us of some of the terrestrial indignities we all share - the betrayals, false accusations - and occasional hatreds felt toward us. But these melt away in the light of eternity - an Eternity entirely in the hands of God, whose promises are faithful and true.
See - I said I couldn't write much! Thank you, my dear sister.

Thank you very much! I am very encouraged by your reply, and I am glad you were able to fill the 150 characters guideline. Lol.
Seriously, ity's very hard to talk about one's faith and its impact on one's life in exactly 300 words. Could write a book!
Thanks again, Paul. I appreciate your review a lot.

Oh yes, and that's why I embraced His call, I knew I had found an immutable being, a reason to carry on, a reason for being, a purpose to carry on, to get up in the morning, to drink from an unleakable cup, beautifully written Wendy, I agree wholeheartedly, blessings Roy

Amen! You experienced your affirmation of faith in the same way that I did in my teens. I realized if I said that there is no God, then everything in life would be void and pointless. Great statement of faith and the difference God makes in living through life's difficulties!
