Exceptional

I marvel at how well written this is. The bravery of the narrator comes through as well as the actions and fear of Titan. I don't know exactly where this is going, but it's a fascinating read. What is a prey animal?

    Hi Shari,
Thank you for the six stars and the gracious comments about the writing to brighten my day.
Good question. A 'prey animal' is hunted for food by other animals. In the wild, horses are prey for cougars, coyotes, wolves, and even bears. The fight or flight instinct for them is nearly always flight.
I appreciate you stopping by to read and review.

Oh, that horse number two was quite a handful! You did a great job of building up suspense with details. Bit by bit you thought that trip through, taking us on the journey with you. I held by breath through the last half of the chapter, lol.

Hugs,
Rhonda

Nice writing. Very descriptive. And it rings true.
Despite a horse's intelligence, they only get so far.
Your story is progressing very well.
Best wishes.

She has had a time with these horses. Hope it gets better when she can get the rest out. I feel for her when she awakes all stuff and bruised in the morning.
Great job
Enjoyed this part it hard unloading a horse from a ship.

    Hi country ranch writer,
Yes, as a horse person, you know about those bumps and bruises and the stiffness the next day.
I appreciate your comments and encouragement.

From my vantage point, you seem unreasonably brave and perhaps just a little foolish when it comes to dealing with these impressive overly powerful creatures, who have been man's wonderful servants for may centuries. Beautifully written Debi, blessings Roy

    Hi Roy,
Yes, horse people are a bit crazy, but we think the risks are worth it. Where would we be without them? Probably, still walking from one village to the next.
Thank you for the kind comments about the writing.

I do hope horse number three is a gentleman. I am curious what Ava will name him. I am enjoying the names as much as the writing. LOL Thank you for sharing this story with us. It's very well written.

Your vivid description was full of a ton and emotion. The scene in the elevator, before the doors closed was heart stopping if nothing else. I caught my breath more than once. The floor dropping a few inches ... yikes. Then if he had started to fight it inside the elevator, it would not have turned out good. I found myself hoping the same thing about horse number three. Please be docile. Great chapter. Gretchen

Wow! This was intense! I was holding my breath hoping you and Titan would make it! I love horses. She is sure in a pickle trying to save them from the wrecked ship. I am hooked on your story. Good job debi. Nancy:)

Great again. Exciting and heart in mouth. You just changed to present tense at the beginning of one paragraph, with 'I lie' instead of 'I lay'. Otherwise this was most enjoyable and gripping stuff.

    Hi JSD,
I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you for catching that typo. I'm better at catching other people's than my own. I appreciate it.
