Great fun! Beautifully told with humour and excellent pace, hooking the reader from the start with your complementary visuals. Just "night(i) ngale will perfect this little romp. A strong contender! Good luck, Debbie

Thanks for catching my faux pas.
May the Smile be with you throughout your day.
Thanks for commenting.

Tom, I clicked on your story for the photography - it caught my eye as your pictures always do, and I wanted to see if they were your photographs - you confirmed that.
Then I get this fantastic story, full of humor and alliteration. What an imaginative thing you have given us, and then allowed us to write the ending. Of course, they lived happily ever after, did they not.
I absolutely love this, Tom:-)

As for your surmise, I shall not judge what anyone selects for the ending, though you're likely on track. May the SMILE be with you through your day.

I think I like the slapstick tale better than a suave and smooth one. The antics of what could go wrong, did go wrong made for a fun and head shaking read. Good luck in the contest. Gretchen

If luck be a lady tonight, this will shoot up the polls, unless it is critiques grammatically.
I am glad you enjoyed it. May the SMILE be with you!

Oh those hopeful dreams where fantasy takes us.
You left nothing to the imagination, Tom with lines like -
wearing the stingiest string bikini taut against her cheeks. I hoped she would stoop and scoop up a shell, unveiling a most audacious peek. She didn't.
Oh darn it all...
Excellent post.

If this isn't a winner, I don't know what is. At first, I thought I was reading prose and I was reading it as such, but then I noticed my mind had switched to reading it like poetry...and then I kept going back and forth reading...poetry...no prose...no poetry, prose! I found myself more and more excited, like a kid in a candy store because that is some great work! That sort of work deserves 6 stars.

This is a lovely write Tom, full of innocent romance and the reality of life. I enjoyed your wooing and you were successful in the end as women like to come to the rescue of a wounded soldier! Ha ha ha, I really enjoyed this post and I wish I had a six for you but I have just given my last one away! Love Dolly x x x

Oh wow! That is quite the fantasy in poetic motion, Tom! It's great to have fun with these prompts...
No string bikini clad beauties were harmed in the writing of this woulda/coulda/shoulda dream...

Not quit the Casanova, but whatever gets one toe in the door! Besides, I am 100% certain you are a lot smoother than that.
This was a chuckle! Thank you for sharing, my friend.

A man has to do what a man has to do. Asking for a date did nothing for me, but making like S. Holmes, smoking that pipe of his, had her take note.
P.S. Thanks for the comment.

Lol. You are quite a card with your imagination and hopes, wishes and dreams. My ending is that she fixed your foot and went on her way. Anything else only happens in unrealistic stories. Lol.
