Hello Barbara,
I rather enjoyed this chapter, even if it's what you consider slow. I'm glad that life isn't dealing us non stop crisis, we'd all die an early death. It sounds like Emma must be quite the looker to attract so much attention from men. I suppose it could be a pleasant personality, but I doubt that is the case. Well done gal.
Have a blessed evening.
Tom

I think with Emma it's both looks and personality. Thank you for the support.

It's good that Emma has such a wise and caring pastor who is more like a relative. Now she can move forward in getting to know Seth and his family better as she continues to heal from her recent trauma.

A "slower" chapter once in a while is needed. We've seen a few crises averted, Emma is about to begin the career she was made for, and Seth's sister moving into town will give him joy and Emma will have someone her age she can commiserate with. Everything seems to be falling into place.

Dialogue, as always, is believable and helps to tell part of the background story.

Looking forward to what comes next in 2024 from you.

It looks like Seth may have a bit of competition! LOL
As always, fluent and believable dialogue that not only progresses the plot but also rounds out your characters.
One suggestion:
"I am(,) and it came in handy."

Thank you for the catch. I have added that pesky little comma. I appreciate the help.

Hi Barbara, in every book there are a few places where not a lot is happening but to bring it forward. This is one of those moments. Nothing is wrong with that. It sets us up anticipating what is happening next. Ulla xx

Emma's world will be turned upside down in a few weeks. I needed to solidify her and Seth's relationship. Thank you for the kind review.

A little break in the action with this post. I'm sure we will be back at it soon. I suspect that we will be hearing a bit more from Abbey in future posts.

I am happy that everyone is on the same line, being aware that Seth and Emma are dating (especially they themselves). That in itself makes the chapter. kay

This is a well written segment. It is more of a slice of life part, and we get to a bit more of the religion element. I like your notes, it reminds us that a FanStory chapter is not the same as a real chapter. I forget that sometimes. I see this is close to the end, so Seth just has to present Emma with a ring.

Well done.

Not to worry about the lack of action. Sometimes it's necessary to set the scene for what's to come. It was still interesting. I like how they finally came to the realization that they have been dating for some time now and that everyone has known except for them. They've tiptoed around the issue for long enough, and it's finally dawned on them that they are a couple. I think that first kiss is coming soon! - Jim

Good as usual. I like the small town flavor. The slow pace. The quietness of the story. Yes, there have been accidents, crimes, and misunderstandings. but the way they were handled was intelligent and kind.
Thanks. Karen

Thank you for the kind review. I grew up in a small town and actually prefer it to cities. I've lived in them too.

I think if you write from the heart, and with good intentions, you will do okay. I may be bad with the commas and quote tags. But my stories
    are from my heart. :-)
