Debi, you nailed it perfectly. As a kid I couldn't wait to get my drivers license (at 17). Felt like I was on top of the world. Where the heck did the time go? Now my granddaughter is talking about driving... holy Canolli!
You may take those four guys to bed at once or separately... but I'll share mine with a little Brandy. Though a little big of Sherry is always fun. Or to get really kinky... my Tia Maria will stop by.
Just having a little
non-sensical fun!
Your post did give me a smile!!!!

Hahahaha! John, I like your way of thinking!. Thanks for having some fun with me on this one. Might as well laugh about it, as it does no good to cry. And thanks for the awesome ideas, but I'll try Jack Daniel's, Rob Roy, Tom Collin's and David>< Mogan?? And you can have Brandy as long as she brings Alexander for me. LOL, believe it or not,, I am just a little wine and margarita here and there. Thanks for those awesome six stars too, my dear friend. Love, Debi

Nope? Captain Morgan for you, my dear!
Ah, Margarita e mucho caliente!!
Gotta have a laugh?

WOW! Could I identify with this! The only difference is that in my twenties, I discovered I knew much more than my parents, then in the forties, realized how much wiser they were. Also, Charlie and Ben's pals have been visiting me. Maybe they're two-timing!

I liked the names of your current bedmates! It is great that you are able to view your troubles with humour . That shows great strength of mind..
when we were young we were keen to grow up now we wish we were younger
loved your poem..

My wedding song was "Time in a Bottle." I heard it the other day and thought about how our 38 years had flown by.
I have the same guys in bed with me along with Ty lenol.
This is a clever and fun read.
Best wishes,
Mary

Shoot, Ty is a good guy. But Ad is bad. LOL, see I can't even stop rhyming to say thank you. (I can't take advil cause of my kidney disease)
I loved that you thought of that Ty. And how funny is it that you heard the song and were thinking the same thing about how fast time is going right now. Even tho, my husband and I will be married 50 years, so I really know what you mean. You must have blinked a couple times, right?
Thanks Mary, for the very sweet review and comments and for having some fun with me. Congrats on your 38 years and thank you too for the gracious six stars, dear friend. Lotsa Love, Debi

Love it love it love it. I so enjoy rhyming poetry and yours is tops. What a journey life is. I also have my children in my twenties. Would you like to be that age again? I think not. Like you I just wake up each morning and say 'Thanks for another day.' The picture is adorable

Nana, could you be any sweeter? Thank you so very much for such lovely comments and for having fun with me on this poem. I had lots of fun writing it. Thank you also for the gracious six stars! I thank you from the bottom of my heart, dear friend. Lotsa Love, Debi
Also, have I asked you when your birthday is? I would love to do a birthday poem for you when your birthday is. I do the birthday and tributes as a thank you to my friends and reviewers because of my eyes and health, my screen time is limited, and I cannot review as much as I would like to. So this is my favorite thing to write, as it comes with the greatest reward because the birthday person is always so appreciative. And then I give a link so you can send it to your families. So if you are interested, just let me know.

LOL, I just answered your pm. I have you in my book already so I am happy you agreed. Thanks so much Nana. I think I will check out a post of yours that intrigued me about a dancer. I will see you soon. Also I would like to fan you too if I haven't already.

Hahaha! I almost laughed my head off at almost every stanza. "Been there, done ALL of that." I even know those four guys you take to bed. This creative and witty poem has brightened my day.

Debi, this is fantastic! If it doesn't sum up living and aging perfectly, I don't know what does! I love the line about the four guys in bed, and the next time you blink you'll become extinct.
A stroll down life's path with a great sense of humor, for what else can we do?
I loved this!

Sweet Sista, I thank you so very much. I am almost 100 review thank you's behind behind and I am butting you in line because I appreciate you so very much. It always makes me feel good when you say you like my poetry. It is hard to keep those longer syllable lines to get the meter just perfect, but it was fun. So thank you for the sweetest words and the generous six stars, and for having a little fun with me on this one.

I think it is definitely a privilege to have the chance to grow old, but time definitely does seem to go by in the blink of an eye. It is scary how fast it goes. A really enjoyable piece.

As cruel and unrelenting as the aging process is, the continuation of life with all of its possibilities. Who knows, before we leave this earthly plane, someone may discover a way to restore our youthful qualities; great strength, 20/20 vision, great sex, renewed vigor, and greatest of all the ability to dream.
