New beginnings. I enjoyed reading this very short post. You could expand this into a beautiful romance novel. I see it developing. I do hope you follow through.

Thanks, Barbara. I was tempted to write a follow up with the man showing up the next day minus his shoes. LOl
Thanks again.

It would be adorable, if that happened. I can see a barefoot wedding in their future.
-
LOL I hadn't thought of that.... as a surprise, everyone showed up with no shoes...LOl

I think it would make for an adorable story.

I'm not real good at putting the romance into words though...I do it once in a while but mostof the time it's in my heart. Thanks so much, Harry.

Honey bunch you are on a tear. I broke my rule again for you. This was just perfect. I would not change one single solitary thing. I adored it. If we were not similar in age, I would say I want to be you when I grow up! Fanatastic stuff. A nosey question, who are you leaving your writings to when you depart? I am leaving my stuff to my youngest who writes himself. So far. Make sure you give it to someone who will cherish it. I think my kid will be shocked at some of the stuff he did not know about. If some poor soul that I was kind to, who just happens to have bookoos of money dies without family and leaves it all to me. I will set up a better site. One with blind readers from publishing houses, poetry sites, true life magazines. and such. With a big section for humor, horror and crime. Just saying..Karen

You've got to the best! You are spoiling me with all the flattery and the stars.... (Don't stop though). I am thrilled that you are enjoying my efforts and my memories. Thank you over and over.

This feels like the start of a sweet romance novel. It got me wondering more about who the lady is and who the hero is. I think more would be revealed in future chapters!

Are you tempting me, Helen? I don't know how good I would be about writing a romance novel. I'm really sappy as we all know. but it is a thought to consider.

I'm not tempting you - I thought you already wrote it! You're always so good at writing about emotions and senses.

This is SO romantic!! A beautifully done flash story with a funny premise (the broken heel). You may now go ahead and write the whole novel 'cause I want to see this happily ever after in action!

Temptation, huh? though I don't know how well I would write a romance novel...it might get too sappy if I wasn't killing someone now and then. LOL

Good flash fiction. You got a whole story in a very few words. Kendra wanted to get home but almost didn't make the train. Her savior turned out to have great blue eyes and she planned to be wearing shoes when she met him on the morrow.

Oh Wow! Aren't you treating me to cake and ice cream! How lovely to receive a six on this flash. It was just something that popped into my head and I ran with it. I am thrilled that you enjoyed it. Thanks so much.

This was an adorably cute story about love at first sight. An old friend of mine and her husband said they fell in love with their first meeting over fifty years ago. My daughter and her husband who met eight years ago, claim that after a couple of dates, they knew they would be together forever. They're in their fifties and have been married two years.
Your story is a young woman's romantic dream.

I believe Mike stole my heart the first time he "died" in my backyward as Mikey shot him, playing Sheriff..... though it would be fifteen years before we knew it. LOL We were always the best of friends, but circumstances made it just that. then life changed and so did we.

cute, cute, cute! I really like this one. short, sweet, and humorous ending. You are really on a writing roll! Have you ever thought about, or have you written a book of short stories? You have a good amount of them. And if I've asked you this before, please pardon. My memory is not the greatest.
Anyway, a neat flash fiction! Is this a contest? If so, good luck.

Yes, I have often thought about combining them into a book...and one of these days I might actually do it. I am so thrilled that everyone, including you, is enjoying my shorts. I didn't enter the contest... I was going to but then when it came time to post...I forgot. There's that aging memory for you!

Good story, with lots of promise of a future relationship at the end. I like the final line; it brought a smile. I like the humor of his question as she entered the train. Smiles & hugs! Carol
