This was a great, dramatic read. You have a few spags this time around. Ha! Left an "o" off instead of the usual incorrect add! "That(,) to(o) was not my intent.
"Myra and Mateo are (on)their way

Things have really progressed in Sami and Noah's relationship. Now when he goes on rescue missions, it's not just Myra that she's worried about. She's even more worried now for Noah. It's good she gets a taste of what being married to law enforcement is like.

Things seemed to be progressing quite smoothly, apart from Sami constantly needing a hug and to be reassured, until the sudden change with a considerable amount of drama and danger. Sami is unrealistic to expect that Noah can promise to return safely. No one can really make such promises in these conditions. I'm enjoying the story and waiting for a positive outcome, and hoping that Sami's family is not in any danger. Well done.

I'm a bit concerned about Sami. She is coming off as terribly insecure and keeps seeking reassurance and attention. Her insecurity isn't helping Noah do his job. I hope we will see her become more mature. Convince us she's up to being the wife of someone with the responsibilities Noah has. Will he have to keep reassuring her about everything? There's a lot of tension now, as it seems Mateo and the girls they're trying to rescue, including Myra, may be in trouble. Great description of the precautions being taken, including Mateo may have backup from his own security. They have ambulances at the ready in case there are any injuries. I hope Sami doesn't try to do anything foolish but will let the experts handle it. Great dialogue. judi

This was a very tense chapter. I was relieved to see Myra's name mentioned. I was starting to lose hope she would be found. Now, I'm wondering if Chen goes after Sami's family. I hope not. Great chapter. Gretchen

Poor Noah, it's difficult trying to grapple the emotions of a woman, I know, although my wife is most forgiving and very gracious I know I miss the boat somehow and and sink in the emotional mire. Noah, like many men I have known is a rule breaker, mind you, it depends on the rule, beautifully written Barbara, blessings Roy

Really good chapter, Barb. The reader is now anxious to see what took place. We need to stop the yo-yo with Noah and Sami. It is getting too predictable.

This was bound to happen. You get a six because you keep it all together, you keep it interesting, and I like you. I sometimes forget that series writers need the stars too. :-) Karen

Oh boy.....action is heating up! Very exciting book. Hope they take down the sleaze balls. Stuff em and cuff em!
Just a suggestion:
The very end:
"I know. Noah, no matter what, come back to me."
"I will." He left.
Noah was addressing Sarah and the immediate response with no speech tag made it seem like Sarah was making the comment 'come back to me'.
Just my two cents.
Your pal,
D

Another engaging chapter Barbara, the dialogue is brilliant once again between your character's and I really like how Sami and Noah's relationship continues to grow. The chemistry feels very real in the beginning section. An excellent chapter, I enjoyed reading it.
