I've been there, and done that: quite a predicament with tosses back and forth between the two given choices. I in my incident chose to leave: neither decision necessarily holding a right.

This is so very true, Melissa.
Whether it be the need to leave a relationship which is no longer healthy, which I--as I am sure have most others--have experienced more often than I like. Or moving on to the next stage of life (Not experienced that yet.)

Yes, I can understand your thought in this. I think this could refer to an abusive relationship. Sometimes the woman may stay because of her fear of leaving. Then the abuse becomes too much, and she summons up the courage to leave. Women should not stay and allow themselves to be tortured. Excellent wording, and the picture is perfect for your poem. judi
