Beauifully told, with deep understanding of what makes a child tick. Thankyou. Good luck with this one. And all good wishes for 2010. Pat.

AHHH, what a beautifully heartwarming short story. Your characters where well defined. You did a great job with the child. She sounded very natural. I had tears of grief and joy in the same story. Good luck with the contest.

Good story told through the child. You feel lots of emotion in the loss of his dog. I don't think I would change anything. I didn't see any errors. Good luck in the contest.

Begin Again,

This is a endearing and well written short story. Your descriptions are great and the communication between characters are very realistic. It actually reminds me of my niece who had her dog run over a couple of months ago and her and her dad found a new pup for Christmas.

I enjoyed reading this.

Linda

Is my style that evident that you knew who I was? I am flattered! I am very very close to my four legged friends and when my son lost his recently ..our family had a difficult time. He just got a new puppy and it made me think to write this story...I hope your niece is happy with her new puppy too!

This little story is so touching. Poor Camille lost her dog, and she's lucky to have such a wonderful and understanding mother. The bright star is the primadonna of this story and the new dog a bonus. Good work!

Writer,
You've written a touching tale of a little girl losing her beloved pet. The story is well written. The dialogue and descriptive scheme are great and propel the story along. The girl isn't only suffering the loss of her dog but her best friend killed by a drunk driver. Your story is terrific with an excellent message. A five star story for the writing prompt.
Missy.

This is a very touching story and only a child could feel for a puppy like your character did. Having lived with dogs all my life I can relate to your story. Very tender and real story here. Thanks for sharing it. It seems like it was pulled from life. -Judy
