I like your musing on the cowboy way. In spite of what Willie Nelson says, I prefer cowboys to doctors and lawyers and such. Maybe what the cowboy's women want to change is that their work keeps them indoors while the cowboy enjoys (and suffers from) the great outdoors. One question - in line 3, did you mean to say "as the cowboy 'works' away", rather than as the cowboy "workers" away? Good thoughts - keep it up - gotta do something when the blows too hard to see the field.

Loved this one too. The day to day work never stops, but you wouldn't swap it for quids. Just one small 'spag' for u to look at.

3rd line - workers/works

PS. Would u mind if I knew your first name, don't like using pseudonyms.
Have a great day, hugs Mia

I have read a few of your poems today and must tell you that I really like what you've submitted so far. I'm guessing that this poem, "Change," pretty much says it all when it comes to the life of a cowboy and the women in his life. I think there might be a small error in the last line: either "women" should be "woman" (singular) or "wants" should be "want" if women is indeed plural. But that's a small error, and the whole poem is nevertheless quite good. I'll be looking for more of your poetry. Connie C

A sometimes funny poem about cowboys and their non-cowgirls. I see a cowboy theme for you, the continuation of the cowboy. I enjoyed it. Thanks.

Ah I am a cowboy and I have to say that country women wouldn't trade us for anything. I like the tribute to the cowboy's work.

that's a nice looking, ah, horse, you got there. Women are crazy. I can tell you that because I am one. Maybe we are all nuts. Anyway, this poem is a good one, says what you want. keep writing.

I like this poem , it seems a shorter version ,inspired in your poem "The quest", It must not be easy the life of a cowboy's wife, isolated and hard.

I love cowboy stories or poems. This one is a different kind of one. It paints a great picture, but it dose not seem to be very smooth when reading.

deepwater,

"Change" was a very well written western poem. There was good use of rhyming throughout. The imagery presented was clever.
