A beautiful and well written poem. The lovely images of the
meadow, with the flowers and butterflies is stunning. I can, as I'm sure many others can, relate with your grief. Mother's Day for many of us is a time of memories, good and bad. We all wonder and wish for peace for those who have crossed over. Very well done.

A truly touching reflection on seeking solace in grief
over loss of grandmother and mother. The sheer elegance
and reverence of your memories and grieving; accentuated
with the coinciding solace of nature and spiritual
vision and message from loved ones; stunning and
soul=stirring. A misty eyed read for sure; such warmth
and lovingness flowed throughout each phrase.
Thankd for sharing, God Bless your loved ones, loved
and cherished ever so dearly.

Jimi,
This is an exceptional Mother's Day poem in honor of those who have passed on. I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and would've given it a six-star review, but Fanstory wouldn't let me.
This one isn't dark at all.

It has been a long time since I had the pleasure of reading the magic that is you and yours Jimi. Your poem is beautifully crafted, the rhyme is perfection, while the alliteration adds to the quality of the poem. The imagery is powerful, you paint an amazing picture in the minds eye friend and your words evoke strong emotions, LOVED IT!!
It is always a pleasure to read you Jimi...

Wow, beautiful. The writing of Poetry is indeed a gift God has given you. I lvoe the picture, the colors, the words. It's great. God hasn't gifted me with the gift of writing poetry, that's okay, because He's given me my own gift but I do highly admire anyone that can tune into God and capture His words that makes such a beautiful picture that is captures the minds eye. God bless.

Been there and struggling with that now..I can't believe I've gotten so far behind. No problem. God bless.

I meant to congratulate you on your being in the top ten for short works..

Thanks so much. I was so surprised to be in that position. I didn't even start writing anything until April and then had 6 weeks of a health issue that kept me off the site most of the time. God is good and I feel very honored He granted me this honor. God bless.

Guarded and still, he eyes bored outside my sight/I have tried every which way, but I don't understand that line. Should it be, his eyes bored?----In spite of my ignorance, I do recognize your poetic mastery in remembrance of (I assume) your mother. Wonderful work.

Delightfully amazing!
You've written this tribute to mother's quite professionally. Great rhyming scheme with an easy rhythm to follow along with.
I'm not sure what the square is on the last line...kinda distracting. Don't know how it made it in there.
Anyhow, great job - My mom would love this.

This is a beautiful quatrain poem, with great rhyming sequence throughout.
I can't think of anything to critique on this.
Again, a very nice poem that is well worth reading.
