Hi-
I like this kind of aphoristic poem...
tell them exactly how it is for you
and the rest will follow and build
there own peaceful castle surrounded
by a moat full of sharks and dead
guy's heads (the invading forces).
Reading your poem left me quietly
content, as though I'd just visited
R. Reagan's tombstone on acid.
Nice!

Oh this is good. I couldn't agree more than to live your own life as you need to live it. Well said and wonderful poetic form.

I enjoyed the wisdom of this piece, and I congratulate you on this realisation, as well as this nicely composed work of poetry.

It's a job very nice large images. I like the full moon live the life of the pilgrims. It is an excellent entry for the contest and I wish him luck, he deserves it.

I truly enjoyed your poem. I think we would do better if we could go as the pilgrims and find ourselves. I wonder how many people truly get to pick their own life. Best of luck to you in the contest. Great imagery, Shirley

I think this was a decent poem. But the pacing and rhythm and rhyme was all off. I could never get a feel for it. You have some interesting lines though such as "survive to see another night alone." That's a stark contrast with the rest of the poem.. Interesting.

Howdy, Deepwater:
Good advice--"Go West Young Man"---I'm afraid my friend that those days are sadly back down that road you write about. I like this because of some of the the unwritten meanings such as---don't be materialistic, nor hypocritical, nor narcissistic and a few more.

If I am able to comment, I agree: "...Only To survive to see another moonlit night alone, Then will you be at peace with yourself
And to be able to say, I am my best friend,..."

What peace you must have to be able to write a poem like this! It is very inspirational and I enjoyed reading it. I hope you won't mind my 4 stars too much; I am very stingy in my ratings. You've written a clear piece, and I'm glad I got to read it. Thanks for sharing!

loved it. its all most inspiring because of how personal and relatable it is. in the end we all live alone , and die alone right? so the only way to live is on your terms. brilliant. loved it.
