Hey there Barbara
The action is coming from multiple directions and you kept it moving along nicely. I like Ann'a new attitude. She's becoming shrewd about her safety. Things are moving quickly now. I do wonder about the note & who wrote it. Is there cause for an OOPS here?

Another well written chapter. The inner monologue in italics was done particularly well. Its easy to see why your high on the ranking. But I guess being at the top of page one every Sunday also helps, :)

A very passionate piece that actually makes me want to read more into the novel itself, I'm not really big on Romance but reading about those fighting through struggles and accomplishing things through hardships always make a good read in my eyes!

I have read several chapters and I find your style easy to read the conversations seem natural and draw the reader along . The chain wrapped flower is a fairly good representation of a battered woman. All in all a solid five.
