HI! Ine. Gosh, shades of Clint Eastwood riding the Range and beating off all the Marauders, and only one hour to accomplish it. Great memories! Thanks for reviving them, you made my day. wiljacro.

I used to love that show 'Rawhide' it was a great Western to my way of thinking. Clint Eastwood as Rowdy Yates, just loved him and Eric Fleming as the trail boss, I was so crushed when he was drowned, the show lost its hold on me then a bit.
My horse bucked a bit but I'm still holding on LOL - thanks for the memory - Dinah

Loved rawhide but the video didn't come out in your notes... :( The poem was really pretty good too. Don't roll off your chair or horse...one time I went to get on a horse and slid right off the other side...how funny. Thanks for sharing this one.

One of my favorite topics, ine. My brothers and I loved the western movies and TV shows. I have watched a lot of the Gene Autry and Roy Rogers movies on TV. I remember the song "Rawhide" being a big hit but didn't watch that show. Your poem captures the feeling of those shows. It was all about the saddles and horses and cattle. The cowboy heroes often had their soft side, as you indicate. Females were lacking, except Dale Evans. Great nostalgic writing. In last stanza, I think you want Don't roll off your chair. judi

A note of interest to you. In the early cowboys' film, the hero kissed his horse. Tom Mix broke the mold when he kissed his leading lady. This is very well written and a true tribute.

This is a good topic. I like the rolling rolling rolling rawhide. It seems like you could try a little bit harder with the flow and structure. Good job.
