Great job. Excellent word choices. The descriptions were excellent and this was easy to read. A very enjoyable and well written poem.

A surprising five stars. I was not sure at the start, and 'cries' are 'ies' not 'ys'
but by end of poem I was sure it was five star.
This is a very good line:
Snap sound into night its whirl and pop heard, again whip snap with its silence with night.
Well done, it moved me.
