Wow, this is also publish-worthy! Thank you for your author notes. Your poem was so good, it made me think of leather chairs, fine cigars, a roaring crackling fire, and a great glass of...(I am, like you, not a drinker, but I love the aspects this scene represents. Thanks for writing!

That's okay Craig. I write a lot about the moon and sea and have never been to the moon nor sailed on the sea. I don't even and never have lived close to the sea. LOL Like your poem and love to listen when people philosophize. Well done. Nancy

Hah! Funny you mention that, Nancy. I was thinking earlier about how many "sea poems" I write, and I spend very little time there :) Thanks for the great comments - Craig

Hi, Craig;
I had to chuckle at your Author's Notes. I haven't noticed too much talk of imbibing within the lines of your poetry, but I do know SO many folks that really get going after a few beers, or worse - whiskey.
My husband and I solve world problems on Sunday mornings over our coffee. We've been doing it for years. Why just last week, we solved the problem with North Korea.
Thank you for sharing another word, and another great poem,
~patty~

Ha! Sounds like it would be fun to be a fly on the wall at your place Sunday morning, Patty. Most grateful for the kind comments - Craig

Fun? Well, we call our patio 'the cone of silence.' No flies allowed!

I was wondering who the Hitch was. I puzzled on that, then thought to read your notes. I love your wine poems and never thought less of you for your topic. The alcohol theme adds such a mischievous touch. You might not want to tarnish that image with a apology.

Haha, well, thanks Debbie. It did occur to me that maybe after having spent such a good deal of time fostering the impression of being a boozer, it might be a shame to undo it all ;-) Cheers, Craig
