You have such a compelling story. I was thinking of how times have changed since those events in your life. I didn't know that you had been in the service. That would have been an exciting time for you if you hadn't had the unfortunate experience of being drugged and raped. I doubt that a person in your situation would be automatically discharged today. You certainly proved your mother wrong. You were able to find a wonderful husband. You certainly did the right thing in telling him what had happened to you. I wonder that you could have had any kind of relationship with your mother after what she did to you. judi

I knew some of this story from your previous writing, but I did not remember that you joined the army. I was pleased to learn about your positive experience with the Salvation Army, especially after the difficult times with your parents, especially your mother. How wonderful that you and Bob's adoptive mother honor one another and he knows how strong you are. I do hope your son can deal successfully with his health issues.
