haha Craig. This is great. I enjoyed reading it. You are right about how some go on & on & on . . . about nothing when they give a gift. Good job on you poem. I really like the rhyme. It is a great length, too, for your message. Thanks for sharing. Jan

Thanks so much, Jan. I didn't feel inspired to go with monolithic verses for either of yesterday's words :) Cheers, Craig

A very well-written Limerick about what kind of gift we would like to receive. Money is a good choice then we can buy something we really like to have, above something someone gives you that you put in the cupboard and forget about it.

Just give those doorknockers a coin and get them to shut up. Actually, I would rather arrest anyone who actually came to my house for money. Solicitations by phone are bad enough. Nice use of the ever-useful "gifture."

Thanks very much, Debbie. I remember as a very young man, a coworker telling me if they saw the JWs or Mormons coming up the path, her boyfriend would be sure to answer the door naked, smoking his pipe. I imagine that might send all but the hardiest packing :) Cheers, Craig

I'll tell my husband to take that approach.
