This is a wonderful poem! I love the word "osculate". What choice to add this in. The photo you chose is beautiful as well. It really does help capture the chemistry.
Beautiful

The Kiss, be it Rodin's sculptured masterpiece, Picasso's or Leonid Afremov sensual creations. The appreciation and emotional response of those who know, have felt, been swept away by and longed for one... Not just any one but The one! The one that all others will be measured by : )
Great poem friend, well done!

Thanks, Hitch. Have been suffering a bit of a culture overload for the past few days - now back to the reality of airport lounges and long delays. The kiss of death!

"The Kiss", is an exceptionally well-written and deftly descriptive piece. To me, this is a six, but unfortunately I only have fives left. I look forward to seeing your next post.

Tony,
It warms my heart to see a man who can really appreciate these magical things in our world. I'm afraid too many people (women included) might see these statues and pooh-pooh them.
*smile*
Instead, you have been inspired to create this lovely ode. Which I enjoyed so much!
Favorite lines:
their balanced architecture's strong, sublime
as spires that soar from churches' heights, so vast
in concept that, when carillons ring clear,
they seem to shake the sky in sweet alarm,
awaking inspiration with their prayer
to bless such harmonies of human form.
Thank you so much!

This is a nice piece of art describing another one. I had to read a couple of times to catch all the meaning of the words together
But I like the way they sounded in my head

HELLO TONY FAWCUS: What you are saying here comes right exact. "Bodies and buildings both depend on a dynamic balance between opposing forces." I see that you boldly
carry proof of your philosophy upon your shoulders. I see the results of, "The Kiss. Cordially: rhonnie69.

Hi Tony. This is a well written poem centered around the marvelous art of Auguste Rodin. There's always harmony in balance for sure no matter what it is. Word choices in this poem are perfect, except for one--osculate. Other word choices are so--well--poetic. That one just doesn't fit. I think it's too harsh for this romantic piece. Otherwise, beautifully composed and rhymed. Marilyn

Sweet, romantic, and beautiful your poem talks of whatever encounter one may of had. It's well written and spiritual at the same time. Nice comparison to the architecture the height of the church's steeples.

Truly there is art in poetry and you combined the two perfectly. I like not only what it said but how it flowed. truly a poetic yin and yang.
