Ah, then Sebastian was like the first Elvis and Tupac, it seems.

it's time to let those superstitions go.
(but there are so many of them... my closet's full)

it's just a fantasy you're worshipping.
(The good old he'll be back club. Elvis might be a lost hope, but I'm still hanging on for Tupac's return. He'll be back. Just wait. ; D

apart from atoms, we've nought left to give.
(sometimes you just got to break it down to the plain eventuals. Though, I've read trying to break fantasy with fact just reinforces fantasy. So... maybe after reading this, I can put Elvis back on possible comeback list)

Sebastianism should be put to bed.
(Pleasing rhyming scheme and pace, with a theme that follows throughout the poem to a point that highlights your word of the day well. I enjoyed reading)

I think my other half would be totally on board with you, Turtle. Myself, I'd opt for Janis Joplin, or David Bowie, maybe even John Denver. Many thanks, for your usual thoughtful review. Cheers, Craig

Nicley done and a little bit of history included that most of us have to admit that we did not know. Very well put to words and the rhyming and flow are excellent

Until today I had never heard of Sebastianism. I am glad I read this. You used very good words telling of this and very good imagery from the art work. I choose not to believe in this myself. Blessings, Teri

Me either, Teri. I'm with you, I think the story stretches the imagination a bit. Cheers, Craig
