Amen! This could be my motto...I feel that my family never listens. I tell them constantly they hear just fine but refuse to listen. Enjoyed the read and the latitude of the one line poem.

A very powerful message to share for your one-liner! I agree, too many people do not heed to the non-verbal language of tears. Sadly, we have people that will refuse to listen. A wonderful contest entry. Good luck.

Excellent Poem! The author's words are creative, state a good message and
are thought provoking. The reader found meaning in the author's words.
The artwork is perfect and compliments the theme and words of this poem.

What a great pairing of the instructive picture and the monostitch. I like the internal rhyme of glisten and listen plus the comparison of hearing with listening in communication.

The photo in this poem is great. The message is clear. It is so frustrating to deal with someone who just does not get it! I liked the presentation and the topic. Good job.

This is well written and makes an excellent point. I love the artwork you chose to represent the piece. It works well to accent your message. Although you don't mention it in your poem, the word 'act' is in the image you've used, and it is a very important component of active listening. Kudos for giving a message visually, as well as with, words written. I like how you rhyme 'glisten' with 'listen'. And, you bring into the message, the point of 'Frustrated tears', which adds an emotional feeling to the act of not being heard. Well done.
Take care, Jesse

A very well-written one-line poem. When we hear someone talk to us doesn't mean we are listening. When we listen we understand every word and take notice of what is said.

HELLO MRS. KT: I agree with you on this. When I was a child in my early school days our teacher taught us from what we called our, "Think and DO." books. From that...later in my life I learned that hearing...and listening are two different things. Your posting here reminds me of those good ole days. What you've expressed here...comes right exact. Thank you for sharing, Mrs. KT. I appreciate that. God bless you and yours. Cordially: rhonnie69.
