Solid poem to read as I face the joyous challenge of finishing Christmas cards with my active daughter and my beloved, who likes to poke at the girl. Phew, these are the good times. : ) but boy do they take a bit of patience.
Sometimes hard to appreciate it all when frazzled. Hence why i enjoyed reading this poem in the moment getting a breather,
The pace is reflective, not exuberant, or cutting ... making for a soft solemn tone that felt right for the theme.
Enjoyed, and got my second wind for my hectic family Christmas card decoration time.

Haha, enjoy finishing off those cards, Turtle. I'm sure it's fun, for the most part. Thanks for the lovely comments. Craig

This speaks that the last laugh is on us though we continue our life journey through sad or bad affairs and happiness; well said, well done. Write More Inspire More -- DR ALCREATOR

Very well said. But I hope we'll be laughing along, too. Wishing you countless days of "happiness and mirth." Love that picture, too. Some dog breeds do look like they are perpetually smiling.

Why wouldn't you be laughing too, Helen? That's my wish, anyway. Cheers, Craig

It's such a treat for a writer to come across a new and relatively unknown word, but most especially when it is so cleverly and poetically put in context and with a pic of man's best friend!

Another poem about being happy with the life we are given. I am going to try, Craig. I promise. I will try to focus on the "plus" in the periplus of life.

I know, Debbie. I thought to myself, "This is too similar to the last one", but I have to play the cards where they fall. I just looked at the next word -- it, too, is about "journeys" [sigh].

This is a great way to say 'live for today,' Craig. I enjoyed reading your poem. There is good flow, great rhymes, great imagery, a sound message, and an super picture. All need to read this and adhere to its message. Good job and thanks for sharing. Jan
