I appreciate the excellent review and kind comments. It is similar to ?The Notebook.? It is hard to think about what my life might look like in the years ahead especially being blind. I know for a fact we will always love ieach other and that is my sustaining grace.
All my best,
Sal

Hi, Sally,
Such a sweet, sweet story. I think it is hard to contemplate what life will be like in our old age. My hubby and I talk of it often and wonder if God will be kind and let us go 'home' at the same time. Neither of us can imagine living without the other.
My only comment is that the POV switches from Sally to Mr. Law and it is jarring to the reader. (I am working with an editor on that problem in my own writing right now, so I'm especially on the look out for it.)
Thank you for sharing,
~patty~

Thank you so much, dear Ta. I am so glad I fanned you. You are always so encouraging. A writer needs that front and center in every review. You are so graced with that character trait. I appreciate you and the excellent review so much.
All my best,

How wonderful is this story and the picture. The picture in your profile tells the story. I didn't care for the part where You are on opposites of the nursing home though. Blessings to a happy ending, Barbara

Thank you for the excellent review and kind comments. There is some truth in the ?opposite ends of the nursing home? as I am nearing being completely blind. I have late-stage retinitis pigmentosa. My physical limitations are already far ahead of his. My faith and my doctors say I may not loss all my eyesight, but there are no known cures at this time. In the meantime, I take one day at a time, and I write...a lot.
All my best,
Sal :+)

I'm so sorry Sal. God Bless you. Writing sure does help I have found. Write on my friend.

I write every day...regardless.

Good for you. I'm trying. I didn't write much for two yrs. I missed it, but life was in the toilet then. More reason to write. Playing catch up now. LOL. Blessings, Barbara

You are so lucky I still had a BIG SIX for ya. This was a real tear-jerker. Thanks for sharing. I had the pictures in my mind all the way through as I read. We are hoping God will allow us to die here in our own home.

Thank you so much for the superb rating and kind comments. Couples that are happily married enjoyed this story the most. I am so glad you liked it. My husband and I hope that we are able to avoid the nursing home alltogether. It is hard to conceive being apart. My progressive blindness is already an issue, and I am home writing on most days. My life is good but simpler than it has ever been. This will continue for me. I am in Gods care and have a loving husband at my side.
Happy thoughts and prayers for you and Geoff.

This is about as romantic a story as I've ever read. You build up the story with many tender touches, without overdoing it.
The side-by-side walkers was a nice, surprise touch.

Sally this is so good and well written. You did a good job setting up the scene with a bit of tension since he was late. I think your imaginary scenario about staying love birds no matter what stage you are in is encouraging. Well done.

This was such a sweet story Sally. Glad you shared it. How long have ya'll been married now? We have been married 28 years since last May. My brother and his wife have been married for 46 years. I don't think that many people stay together long anymore. Happy Writing, katy

Thank you dear Katy. I am so glad you liked this and could relate. I am blessed to be married to my husband 43 years. We just celebrated our anniversary in December. I am pleased to hear of your 28 years of marriage! Congratulations! It is worth celebrating as it is a rare thing these days.

Love your romantic love story Sally Law
of how a couple keeps their love for each other. I love this part of how the young server commented how nice it was to see an older couple who were still married and in love.
