Oh, now THIS is clever!! What a perfect idea for a Nonet, and a cute mini-story to go with it! I absolutely love what you did here. xo

The result of an attempt to be different... concentrate on the shape and try for cooperative syllables. It took a while to choose words to get straight edges... I am a word architect!

Among other things!! xo

This nonet, A Pyramid Upended, uses the proper nine-to-one descending syllable framework to represent the downward position of Australian pyramids. Funny.

It's because we stand on our heads a lot down here, and the water goes down the plug hole differently, and we speak funny, and we like our prime minister (I live in NZ). We have a different view of the world down here. (well, I do anyway.)

Clever nonet, but I'm a social impact sorta guy. I love anything Egypt and i guess this attests to their cleverness. No one has ever worked out how they built these bad boys - DJ

They were very advanced in different ways. I love Egyptology too. I went to see the Temple at Abu Simbel that was relocated when the Aswan Dam was built. When reassembled by modern engineers they could not do it as accurately as the Egyptians who had it situated so the sun's rays hit a certain spot on a certain day. Egyptian civilization is FASCINATING. Poor old Pyramids are taking a hammering from tourism. When I was there, back in late 1970's, the arab guides were chipping bits off to sell to tourists.

Some doc thought the tips pointed at Orion's belt, before precession of the equinoxes moved them away...witty thought and nicely shaped text. Excellent post.

This was very creative and original, LisaMay. Obviously, this was the perfect form for you to use for this one and your hypothesis. I got a nice smile to start my day. Good job.

The world looks different from Down Here.
My new aim: to enhance you day with a smile. I can't afford to post every day so pretend I have and smile anyway, eh?

This is hilarious and very creative, Lisa. I'd never have thought of it myself.
Thanks so much for sharing and good luck in the contest. You deserve it.

We do a lot of standing on our heads down here!
I thought a nonet relied mainly on syllable count but then I had a rethink and decided to concentrate on the shape as well.
Thanks for your comments and good wishes.

A very well-written nonet that is upside down unlike the real pyramids pointing upwards yours is pointing downwards. Your nonet is nicely shaped in near perfect form.

You wish to make something better, (not in term of quality of shape truly) than the pyramids down under which pharaohs lived, under the thoughts as it is in words; well said, well done. Thank you for sharing. Keep Writing Inspire Changing -- DR ALCREATOR
