Delicious word choices to give the reader a sense of the atmosphere. "Calming, peaceful serenade" helps set the mood. Dappled is another lovely word. Details like the croaking frog and moth add to the scenario. Excellent work with the minute format, and best of luck in the contest. judi

sounds quite peaceful - we went out to some lakes yesterday also and it felt so good to get out of the house, exercise, wade a bit - we went to a lake also for dinner - a lake where we've gone for over 40 years, every years. so many memories.

The picture shows the dappled shade on the forest floor. The poem tells about all the sounds that can be heard as you lay on your quilt watching and listening, feeling the breeze. A nice place to be in the heat of the summer. Well done. Good Luck, Melissa. Nancy:)
