Your poem sounds so positive and depicts a happiness in a new discovery.
It is a serious and deeply felt subject 'Trust' Without it we flounder and hem and haw. Building it is essential. I love the whales (or dolphins) looking up!

You are so right, building trust is essential. It is a new discovery for me. I had to learn the hard way through life experience and growth. I am glad you like the dolphins picture. They look happy and trusting. Thanks for this positive review and excellent rating.
Take care,
Jesse

I'm happy you found a trusting friend, it makes life richer. I often write things down in poetic form, not just to capture that memory, but also it also helps me to put things in perspective. My husband is my trusted friend. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for your kind assessment of finding a friend to trust. I feel richer because of it, and also because I captured the moment in a poem. Having a trusted friend as your husband makes you wealthy, indeed. Thank you for this sharing review, and for the excellent rating.

Great idea to write about a positive experience to reinforce your memory and carry it with you. It seems like it's much easier to retain hurtful memories from the past. Thanks for sharing this creativity. Bill

Thank you, Bill, for the positive reinforcement in my choosing to capture a wonderful moment, instead of leaning on the painful ones. I appreciate your kindness with your comments. Also, thank you for the excellent rating.

It is hard to build trust, you have to do it brick by brick, and I am glad having someone you loved helped you gained this trust. A great picture of jumping dolphins, very fitting to the optimistic note of the poem. Great artistic presentation.
Thank you for sharing, this was an upbeat, cheery experience.

Thank you for this apt assessment of building trust, and how it often has to be done "brick by brick." I was always under the assumption that one had to earn my trust, but I've since learned that sometimes it is me who has to offer the trust in order to gain the trust of others. I am glad you enjoyed the upbeat and optimistic tone of the whole presentation. Thank you so much for this confidence booster, and for the excellent rating.
Take care,
Jesse

Sharing happiness begets happiness. And trust is the cherry on top. It is grand to feel a bond forming. And I'm glad you are able to savor such moments as memories - as well as using as building blocks to form a foundation for friendship. Thank you for sharimg.

Wow, thank you, June. You put this so well. I love your 'take' on the idea of happiness and trust to be used as building blocks to form friendships. You see depth, and are very insightful. Thanks, again, for this upbeat review, and for the excellent rating.
Take care,
Jesse

Good Afternoon, Jesse!
Wouldn't it be wonderful if all of us could do as you and your new friend did:
"We found a common thread of understanding;
we laughed, and I confided with her, then"
I so appreciate the phrase a "common thread" and its implications for relationships and society.
Well-turned and phrased, Jesse!
Beautiful day here today; hoping you are well!

Good morning, Diane!
I'm so sorry for the delay in responding to this wonderfully positive review! I love your encouraging feedback and kind words, as well as you choosing your favorite phrases from my piece. Thanks very much for the insights and exceptional rating. The weather has been lovely here, as well.
I am still recuperating and staying at Seaview nursing home. Fortunately, I continue to write on my laptop and post of FS. I've still got my sights on going back home, I just don't know when yet. I hope you are well and enjoying your garden, etc.
Take care,
Jesse

Jesse your overall petic message is clear and concise in every aspect.
For clarity you might consider revising this "they helped me building trust
for one whom I'd held suspiciously at bay.
they helped me build trust in one whom I'd suspiciously held at bay.
Good success!

This is a well written poem that I enjoyed reading.
I share your reluctance at times to extend trust toward someone, having had my hands virtually slapped more than once.
I loved the line "makes me feel like a found a new friend." There is no better feeling than to reach out to someone and have that offer reciprocated.
So glad you were encouraged to write this - keep it up!

Thank you for the encouragement and positive assessment of my poem. I appreciate your kind words, and I'm glad you enjoyed reading my work. Reaching out to someone can be risky, yet the rewards of them reaching back are worth it.
Have a great day.
Take care,
Jesse
