You have captured a very vivid memory, standing in a stream gazing at my reflection, given thought does give pleasing events. All views stated in my given opinion.

There are many ways and angles that one can view themselves, especially in repose. The look of contentment when one is in their favorite place doing their favorite thing should bring about a look that is so serene that a painter could be inspired to create a masterpiece.

This is a fantastic little poem with the perfect picture accompanying it. Your presentation is really good including your chosen fonts. The words are elegantly phrased and are rather profound. Best of luck in the contest.

Comment from Fonda Little
My favorite part was, "I still stand often in
this mountain stream", because I could visualize this and the peace that comes from such an experience!
The Lord led me to this verse after I read this,
1 Corinthians 13:12
New International Version
12 For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

Your poem brings us all to the times we study our
reflection and become lost in our memories. Well done.
Peace,

Your picture was a perfect 'reflection of reflection'!
I enjoyed the read.
I believe you have met the requirements of this contest: Write a poem of any type. But it must have exactly 25 syllables total.
Best of luck in the 25 Syllable Poem contest.

I love the picture, it's perfect for your words. It would be easy to see your reflection in that clear water, and how nice it is to reflect on times long past. Well done, you have captured the scene with exactly 25 syllables and painted a vivid picture in lovely words. Well done and good luck! :)) Sandra

It comes across as a different take on the classic fishing trope--the fisherman just wants to get away and to just unwind and 'catch a big one', but the reflection in this context seems to be the bait and/or lure for you to be 'fishing for memories', in a sense. I like it :)

Benshu-bookgai, Yes in many ways fishing trips can be related as a great metaphor of escaping from the confines of day-to-day living.

I guess that's what a lot of people do while gazing at the lake. Good job writing this you really captured the feel of the activity. Good luck with your contest.
