Well, this is the first ghostly ship I've read about in this contest. The descriptions are rich and vivid. What a wonderfully written poem. I wish I had a six for you.
Good luck in the contest!
Have a grerat day and God bless.

Very well in the description of the environment you set up in telling of this ghost story in a poem. You put your reader in the scene.
As I was reading, I also thought this would also make an excellent tale in story form as you have done an excellent telling in poetic form.
Thank you for the read.
Good luck in the contest.

Tis supposed to be creepy, I know, but your scene (its sounds and scents) is so very well-done that it cn almost deliver a calm in the acceptance of such a regal and, perhaps, ghostly sight that simply continues on its way after its surreal appearance... what a treat for the nightwatchman!! ;) :) :) Well done, J-L, loved the whole ambiance you created for the reader, sir! ;) Best of luck to you in the contest! ;) ;)

How creepy :) I've always enjoyed stories and poems about graveyards, shipwrecks, hauntings, lost souls. I could actually hear the 'ding-ding' of the ship's bell. So glad the night watchman had enough experience under his belt not to give into the 'damsel from the sea'.
Very, very best wishes in the contest.
