Good luck wishes in the Christmas Poetry contest, Sandra. I really enjoyed the antics of Timmy and Tommy Mouse. They did indeed have a part to play in the birth of Christ as well as all the other critters. This was very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings, hugs and smiles!

What a sweet story, Sandra. I love the idea of telling about Christ's birth from the perspective of the animals who witnessed it, and I particularly enjoy the idea of all the animals working together to find a proper bed for the baby. It's a wonderful lesson to teach the children reading or hearing the story. Thank you for providing a holiday smile.

I love children's stories, especially when they're written as sweetly as this one. You certainly gave a new twist to a very old tale.

Hello Sandra Mitchell,
Nice piece of Children Poetry incorporating a Christmas Story having lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme phraseology, enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end with lovely rhyming scheme, and depicting the birth of Jesus plus the role of related animals and persons in an interesting way.
Pictures enhance beauty of the poem.
BEST OF LUCK in the contest.

I so enjoyed your Christmas Poetry entry: children would love this poem/story. The Hedgerow Capers gang preparing for the birth of the Christ child is just what we need today. So good feelings you have written for all families. So important to remember Jesus at His birth. K xx

How did you enjoy your cruise? Where did you go?

We go next week, so still got it to come! Can't wait. We are going around the Canary Islands. We were supposed to stop off at La Palma, but the volcano is still chucking the lava out at a rate of knots. I hope we can still get near enough to get some photos. If I can, I'll post them with a poem. :)) xxxx

That's a very cute story told in rhyme. I liked how all the animals contributed in order to welcome the Baby Jesus. And you told it with the framework of a story within a story! Best wishes in the contest!

Your Christmas poem should be a staple for children during this season, Sandra. The rhymes are spot on, it's fun to read and you've introduced the mice characters to add a little variety to the Christmas tale. A super job, Sandra. I thought you were on holiday!

Hi, Jay. No I go on holiday on the 23rd of this month and come home on the 5th of December. I've had back and leg troubles, the legs due to my back, so not a lot I can do about that, but sometimes I just have to have a little bit of a pity party, lol.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, and the sixth star, dear friend. I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have fun with children's stories. I'll be reading yours in a moment. Love and hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

Oh Sandra, I've been enjoying my own pity party for the last 6 or 7 months. Same thing, Back (bent wrong or something) but a shrieking pain also travels down my right leg. I went from walking 5 miles a day to whatever accrues going to and from the fridge, the bathroom, and my computer. I do hope you enjoy your holiday.

Perhaps we can have a good pity party together when I get home again! I'm off to read your chapter.
